FAQ
What is considered a "light" commercial or hospitality project?
Hospitality projects include hotels & resorts, restaurants, banquet & event spaces, and country clubs.
Light commercial projects include small to mid-size offices or retail spaces and multifamily/multi-residential properties (i.e. apartment buildings, clubhouses).
What is your interior design style?
Our personal style is contemporary, eclectic, and maximalist. We love to layer materials, color, pattern, lighting, and textures in our projects. However, we will never push our style onto your project. We design your space around YOU, your preferences, and your lifestyle or brand.
Do you have an office or showroom?
No, we are fully remote and do not have an office. However, we do travel and are happy to meet wherever is most convenient for our clients, such as their home or office. We also have access to several local showrooms around the Pittsburgh area where we can meet.
Do you offer your services outside of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area?
Yes! Since we are fully remote, we offer virtual design services and can travel (when necessary). We've completed projects in various states across the country, including upstate New York, Florida, and the Northeast (New England) region.
How do you charge for your services?
Other than our design consultation services which are billed hourly, we work with a hybrid pricing structure that includes a combination of hourly and flat fees based on the scale and scope of your project.
Do you offer discounts on products and materials?
We provide highly competitive pricing for the products and materials we source. We price these at or below MSRP so you are receiving fair market value.
What does a typical furniture budget look like?
This depends on overall budget, scope, and the type of project (residential vs. commercial) since there are many factors to consider, but for a rough estimate, $100 per square foot is an average starting point. We'll work with you to formulate a budget that works for you and your lifestyle: where to splurge vs. where to save. Treat your furniture as an investment, not an afterthought!
Why do you charge a procurement fee?
Procurement includes much more than just ordering product. It also includes measuring, sourcing, quoting, invoicing, tracking, receiving, scheduling, inspecting, managing claims, storage, and installation which requires a large amount of time, research, and knowledge. Our procurement fee protects your investment and saves you time.
Can I source and/or purchase my own furniture and fixtures?
Yes. However, we strongly encourage you to let us handle the sourcing, procurement, and coordination of product for you in order for us to streamline your project and ensure precision from start to finish. If you choose to source & purchase yourself, we will not be responsible for unforeseen issues such as lead times, discontinued/backordered items, or damages, along with scheduling deliveries and coordinating installation, which could delay completion of your project.
Do you offer interior staging services?
Typically no, but we can recommend some of our colleagues that do!
Are you able to recommend a contractor, architect, installer, etc. if I need one?
Absolutely! We have numerous industry connections in and around the Pittsburgh area. Just let us know what you're looking for.
Do you offer internships or mentorship?
While we don't always have internship opportunities available, we can absolutely provide mentorship. Tiffany has been mentoring others since she was in high school, so whether you're a student that just has questions about the profession, looking for a shadowing opportunity, or a new designer seeking some professional guidance, she is more than happy to offer her support, knowledge, and experience.
